Product arrived with all the ice packs fully melted and the product was hotter than room temperature because it’s been sitting on a UPS truck for a few days during a heat wave and the product have been sitting in its own melted juices so long the paper labels wrinkled and faded to where you can’t barely read some of them.
. I put the product in the refrigerator and then when taken out sitting at room temperature for an hour still doesn’t come apart just crumbles. Not happy with the product at all. I feel like I really threw away $90.

Consistency is the secret to this product. It never lets me down, and the customer service is outstanding. I've even managed to get my entire family on board; while they're not quite fully plant-based yet, they do love this Bakon. I'm truly grateful for what this company stands for and for sharing such a high-quality product.
Incredible product! I haven't had bacon in 20 years, and to find a plant based option that is delicious was amazing! I made a couple of different recipes, my favorite was a pasta the flavor or the thrilling bacon infused the pasta giving that umami kick it was just delicious!

It tastes quite good, but is difficult to separate the strips to cook them. I don’t think it tastes too much like bacon, but is good in its own right. May order again.
I was a bit disappointed in the fact that I can’t get a full strip at $20 per pack after shipping $60 for 3 packs. Taste was great, experience separating not so much. Maybe parchment paper between each piece would help.

The bacon strips fall apart easily, so you have to lay them in the pan carefully. Once cooked, though, they do not fall apart. Our team tried the Bakon in a classic BLT sandwich. All three members of the team are vegans. I will run the experiment again with a non-vegan person. The smell and taste were delicious, and the crunch of the Bakon indeed mimicked the feel of real fried bacon. They got the fat to "meat" ratio spot on. You didn't need to oil the pan, but I would not suggest frying this on any pan other than a nonstick pan. A staff member accidentally froze the Bakon, so I am unsure if that affected the texture. I would imagine they would make this product able to be frozen so it could be used in the food industry. One pack made three sandwiches. That is 5 dollars worth of Bakon for each sandwich. It's a bit high for most, but I would buy it again. We will also try a Carbonara Sauce and see how that works.
I'm vegan and gluten-free, but not by choice. Even with plant-based meat coming as far as it has in the last decade, most of it still doesn't taste like real meat. Enter Bakon. It actually tastes like decent bacon. Even my meat-eating mother agreed. It sizzles and cooks just like bacon strips (though it is prone to break apart if you're not careful with the "raw" strips).
I had my first BLT in almost 15 years. Then, I had BLTs for lunch over the next three days. Is it expensive? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely. I'm also impressed that it doesn't expire for months (my "Best By" date was 5 months out), whereas most plant-based meats expire within a couple of weeks unless you keep them frozen.
This will definitely be a regular purchase for me. I hope to see more options from Thrilling Foods in the future.
This is the most realistic vegan bacon I’ve ever had! Even my non-vegan family member likes it!
I've never even received it. I have sent multiple emails to both thrilling foods and Facebook messanger, yet not a soul will respond. UPS either. My $60 order of this is stuck just down the road and keeps getting rescheduled due to weather... OK well roads are clear but even if they weren't and we had bad weather then give me some communication!!!! It's well over a week now so I will not be eating this food that has sat out too long. Or maybe it has something to keep it cold for going on 2 weeks. Maybe communication would help. Respond please give me an answer please or a refund at the very least. This sucks. I'm a vegan in a very small town and I love sharing new meat alternatives with the meat eaters in this farm town. I was excited to share this. But now the lack of communication has left a very bad taste in my mouth. Sad
Really enjoyed the Bakon, I used a cake lift/slice to separate and it worked a treat, as I saw people were having trouble separating the slices !
Crumbles when I tried to separate the slices (I used a dull knife as instructed) and didn’t brown much at all when baked in oven. Smells better than it tastes, not a fan. Sorry. I have never eaten bacon so I don’t have anything to compare it to, to be fair. I’ve been a Vegan for 40+ years. Also feel the cost is higher than necessary, $30.00/lb?
It tastes really good. I’m very impressed and so are the other members of my family. It’s a nit pick, but it’s hard to separate without breaking the bacon. I used the flat edge of a knife but would love something like parchment between to make it easier. Otherwise, top notch product and I’ll be buying again.
I'm neither a vegetarian or vegan, but I have a good friend who is and I've been challenging myself going more plant-based. In fact, I'm probably at least 75/25 PB currently. That said, I've never been a huge fan of bacon. The bacon-on-everything craze annoyed me greatly (do I need those exact calories on my sandwich?). So Bakon: 1) pretty pricey ($20/pkg when shipping is incl.) 2) Like vegan cheese, it's hard to separate w/o crumbling (I used a SHARP knife to slowly separate the slices). 3) I've cooked 1 pkg and varied the times on slices. If you like burnt bacon you will probably like it until the long sides curl up and it's crunchy. I preferred it - as I describe it - "al dente". That is, a bit chewy, but still feels cooked through. If you are v/v and miss bacon then Bakon might be worth it to you if you can afford it. I have 2 pkgs left, and may see how it works as bacon bits. I like to put those in eggs (or Just Egg as the case may be).

Wonderful taste, need to handle gently, found using a spatula for pan cooking works well. Love, love, love! BLT’s + Avocado is my new favorite for breakfast and lunch! Thank you
I saw this advertised on Instagram and I found a store near me that sells it. Frankly, I was very shocked by the small package for $15 but I decided to try it as I’m on a hunt for all of the progressive vegetarian meats and this seemed to be very clean as far as it’s ingredient profile. The bacon strips fried up perfectly and offer a savory crunchy taste that made a wonderful BLT. My only problem with this is the cost. For such simple ingredients it just seems egregious that for such a small pack you’re basically paying $30 a pound. You’ve gotta reduce these prices
Truly amazing. I’ve had this before, plus been plant based for decades and tried all the bacon analogs, and no other comes close to Bakon. It is perfect.
