This is my favorite vegan bakon! The texture can either be crispy or soft or somewhere in between, depending on your preference and how long you cook it. It is flavorful, with a kind of smoky, not too salty taste. And it's versatile! You can eat it just like that, use it in a sandwich , burrito or crumble it up on top of some pasta.
As far as my experience with ordering, I haven't had any issues. I've ordered twice in the last month and a half and the product arrives pretty quickly after being shipped out. The only thing is, if you order on a Thursday/Friday or over the weekend, they don't ship until tbe following Monday. The bakon itself did arrive cool and intact and although the cold packs were a mostly melted, there were no issues.
It smells like bacon when it's cooking. We made BLT's. It doesn't have a weird "off" taste-something that I notice in all other meat analogues. We are ordering more. The only thing you need to do is be patient about separating the pieces and cooking it. I found a very thin spatula worked best for getting them apart.
This is the first vegan bacon that I have tried and I am happy to say....I do not need try any others. This company knocks it out of the park. I just love it. I know others say it but so will I, this tastes just like bacon!! I bought 6 packages for the free shipping and so that I will have some more to cook and eat over the next 3 months. It has a great taste and cooks up rather quickly. You do not need any added oil, just a nonstick skillet on a low to medium flame and brown on both sides. For my first experience, I cooked up 4-slices and ate them in a nice sandwich with smoked vegan 🌱 Gouda cheese, romaine lettuce, and vegan 🌱 Mayo. Delicious 😋
Surprised to say that I really like this vegan bacon. It did make a really good BLT. Looking forward to trying it in more recipes!
Good flavor. May take an attempt or two to find the best frying technique. Very easy to burn or undercook so watch it carefully. That being said, it is the closest thing to bacon with good ingredients. I was pleasantly surprised. I would purchase this again.
